I like the new Vette but I need rear seats.

Black CLA250 - Premium, Multimedia, Sport, Panorama roof, Bi-Xenon, Window Tinting (50%/35% Front/Rear), Carlsson C-Tronic.
Bridgestone Blizzak LM-60 RFT (Run Flats) mounted on 18x8 Anzio Turn Bright Silver wheels with TPMS sensors for winter driving.

It's a 3.8 car on paper but the guy was having a hard time breaking less than 4.5s... and the GM performance engineer did even worse... a lot of power but it's difficult to access.

That is very typical of American muscle cars. Power is useless if you can't transfer it to the road. The problem with the Vette, and other American muscle cars, is that they stick too much to "tradition" rather than moving forward with innovation. How long did the Vette have a pushrod engine while others have gone to overhead cams? How long did the Mustang and Camaro/Firebird have a solid rear while others have gone with independent rear suspension? To put all the power to useable motion you need to have all wheel drive but you'll never see a Vette with it nor will you see it in the Camaro, Charger/Challenger, or Viper. At least not in my lifetime.

Garage
The Vette is getting up to par but it is Murica at heart - Big V8, Rear Wheels drive, and plenty of room for 50 year old guys gold clubs.

Apples to Oranges IMO....
