Frame of reference is everything when it comes to cars. The CLA sits lower and has a little bit more rigidity. It's built more for stability and sportiness rather than quietness and comfort, IMO. It's bound to bring in a good amount of noise but it might not be that noticeable to those used to driving similar performance coupes in the segment
This is so true, and in almost any 4 cylinder car you WILL get more sound coming from the engine, even road noise is more noticeable.
OF course though, a car like the Verano which was focused on being quiet, will be quiet.
