he Mercedes-Benz CLA-Class was the number one considered model on Edmunds on Super Bowl Sunday and the following Monday.

The CLA-Class recorded a lift of 20,710 percent on Edmunds — the highest since Edmunds began tracking ad performance. Even though the CLA's baseline started low, the huge lift for the CLA resulted in 7,600 incremental shoppers. The Mercedes-Benz C-Class continues to draft off the CLA's success with a 50 percent lift on Monday.

The commercial is approaching 6 million views on YouTube as of Thursday morning.

The 2014 Kia Sorento is repeating the success the Kia Optima had last year by following a similar strategy. Sorento is running a week-long homepage takeover and new landing takeover on Edmunds the day after the game to sustain interest generated by the Korean automaker's Super Bowl commercial. Tying offline with online advertising is a smart move and seems to be paying off with Sorento's 88 percent lift on Monday.

The 2013 Hyundai Santa Fe is currently ranked 3rd for consideration lift at 61 percent.

Although Chrysler's 2013 Super Bowl commercials generated a lot of buzz, they did not result in lifts on Edmunds.

Edmunds says: The 2014 Mercedes-Benz CLA-Class commercial for the 2013 Super Bowl is one for the record books.

What the heck is lift??

If it was actual sales, that would be meaningful.

If you want to market anything and get a lot of attention where better than the super bowl. The CLA wasn't the best commercials according to the vote but still nice to see something different especially with celebrities.

The lift they are talking about is based on the analysis of online traffic. The average coats for a 30 second commercial is about 4 million dollars. Mercedes along with other automakers spend millions for ads but nothing compares to superbowl commercials. Did you guys see the CLA commercial on that day?
