Yes it's a direct price conversion. Not sure if the the Edition 1 will make it to the US, hopefully it will and wont be as high priced as those conversions.

I think those are just direct conversions, prices for vehicles in Europe are extremely high. I doubt those will be the US prices otherwise consumers will have to high of hopes in the starting price as they have advertised.

the Mercedes CLA-class series of vehicles are really starting to look like the CLS, especially with a CLA in the edition 1 package in black

I've always thought the CLA looked similar to the CLS rear. Edition 1 or not.

It's a good thing. I like how the CLS looks.

The Edition 1 is fitted as standard with the hot new AMG-look "Sport" package, which gives you new front and rear bumpers with larger intakes, beefy skirts and a set of black multi-spoke alloy wheels. All you guys better be patient cause this wont be out for another year, that suck ;(

I see it as a good thing. Helps with the rareness of the Edition 1 CLA's.
Making these vehicles available for purchase for a whole year is much better than having a limited production run of 500, 1000, 2000, etc.

The estimated price for the CLA 250 is way too high. First of all, quoted German prices include a 19% sales tax, on top of their already inflated base prices. Subtracting the 19% from the quoted price results in 37,500 Euros, or under $50K. But it will be less than that.

I removed the Mercedes CLA Edition 1 U.S. pricing (estimated) I posted.

According to the article below, it seems like the U.S. be getting the Edition 1 CLA, no release date or pricing announced. Hopefully it will happen soon!

The 2014 Mercedes-Benz CLA may become one of the automaker’s most popular models, thanks to its relatively low base price of $30,825 and the three-pointed star badge on the hood. For European customers who want a bit of exclusivity, Benz is offering an “Edition 1” package that will only be available for one year following the CLA’s arrival in showrooms.

The Edition 1 CLA includes a body kit and multi-spoke alloy rims, both of which are sourced from AMG. Up front, a diamond radiator grille and HID headlights are included as standard equipment. The CLA Edition 1 will also be fitted with a lowered sports suspension. Paint 2014 Mercedes Benz CLA Edition 1 interior 300x187 imageoptions will be limited to mountain grey, cosmos black, night black, cirrus white, and designo polar silver magno.

Inside, the CLA’s seats are wrapped in black leather and microfiber with yellow contrast stitching and a racing stripe-style accent that runs down the middle of the seatback and lower cushion. Leather is used for the flat-bottom steering wheel and aluminum accents cover the dashboard and door panels.

The Edition 1 package will initially launch in Europe on CLA180, CLA200, CLA250, and diesel-powered CLA220 CDI models. Pricing for the U.S. spec Edition 1 package will be announced in the future. As previously reported, the U.S. will initially get the CLA250, which is powered by a 2.0-liter, turbo-four rated at 208 hp and 258 lb-ft of torque. The CLA45 AMG is scheduled to make an appearance at the 2013 New York auto show.

I think the 1 Edition will only sell well if it's maybe $1000 over the regular CLA250..

There aren't really that many differences to justify a higher price.

i'm thinking it will be more than $1000, probably $1500. No major differences but factoring in what "edition 1" includes, somewhere inbetween $1000-2000 seems just about right to me.

A $1000 is too little for the edition 1. I would probably say somewhere between 1500-2500.
