Needless to say I walked out of that dealer, and am seriously considering not dealing with Mercedes after that.
Didn't your mother say something* about cutting off your nose to spite your face?

They didn't seem interested in selling her a car so what was she suppose to do? Beg them to take her money? I don't know about the Miami area but we have about 6 MB dealers so if one so much as look at me funny I have no problems leaving and go to one of their competitors.

Exactly how I felt!!

That said, I can't tell you how much it sucks getting the "oh, she's a woman, I can just talk down to her" look from practically EVERY dealership. It just sucks sometimes. It has its up's obviously but they don't assume that I'm Angelina Jolie the car thief, and instead they assume I am some dumb blonde who can't afford the car unless daddy dearest buys it for me.

Anyway, I'm sorry I ranted about this on here, I appreciate you all listening to me.. and Tonyride you are RIGHT, I'll try another dealer locally and see if I have a better experience, because that one certainly sucked.

Well, that was an awful experience, in more ways than one.

So, first, I went to Benz of Miami (167th st). I waited over 30 minutes just to talk to someone. I finally ended up going to the front desk and demanding to actually speak to someone. I can summarize what happened as follows:

"Hi, I am interested in the 45 AMG"
"We don't have those yet in stock, sorry."
"I know that, can you tell me when they're coming in?"
"Nope, no idea."
".. can I get a brochure?"
"Nope, sorry, we don't have any."
"Ok then. Bye."

Needless to say I walked out of that dealer, and am seriously considering not dealing with Mercedes after that. They were disengaged and disenchanted.

Note: I am on two other mercedes cla forusm where I tried to get some help as they have people in that area.. I don't know if they are just sexist on one of the sites, but they actually wrote "LOL" at my questions, and made me feel very stupid when I asked for help. I am by no means a car expert, I love cars, I love old mercedes as you all probably remember, but I am so glad I found a home on this forum and you guys have been so great. You guys are tolerant of my stupid questions and have been really helpful. :p

If you guys know of a better dealer in the florida area to go to, I'd rather not feel like a "dumb blonde" when I go in and talk to these guys again.

Disenchanted. :( ~Lisa
Try my guy in St. Petersburg - Ron Krag. [email protected]. He is always available, patient, helpful and gave me an immediate discounted price quote on a 2014 E350 coupe to order according to my specs for delivery in two months. PM me if you would like specific details. If you contact him, be sure to use my name.

Hey Lisa you may want to try Delray Beach Mercedes Benz. I was there about 3 weeks ago looking at the CLA.
The sale guy I was dealing with was very nice to deal with. There were no pressure at all. We took a test drive for 20 minutes. He told me to take my time and make sure I like the car.
After the the test drive I told him I'm not ready to buy yet. He said no problem just call him when I'm ready. Absolutely no pressure. I thought it was a nice experience.
So if you want just give him a call. His name is Carlos Molina (914) 482-5555. Good luck.

The car is flying out of dealerships in the Detroit-area. Dealers have zero incentive to offer any money off a CLA that will sell rather easily. 4-Matic would make plenty of sense as we head into Winter, and in fact we saw flurries this afternoon, but none are coming until LATE MARCH around here. Leases are really frightening when you study the fine-print...
