I learned a long time ago to tell stories OR sources. You got the story. If you call your dealership, you may well get a different story, and it may well be more accurate.

that was my understanding of this, quicker turn around time to get a 45 AMG.

Talked to my person today. They said the backlog was in the past; it's not going on now. Also found out I'm at the top of the queue now. Again, who knows what that means. They said roughly 45 days from start of production to arrival. Again, don't know how that compares. I'm on the US West Coast so I imagine it takes more time to get here than on the East Coast or the EU.
