Word on the street is that Mercedes-Benz is planning to add more front-wheel-drive vehicles to its US line-up. The Mercedes-Benz CLA will be the first front-wheel-drive car that Mercedes-Benz will put on sale in the USA, and it will be followed by an electric version of the B-class, and a new GLA-class compact crossover next autumn. All three of these models will have the same front-wheel-drive architecture though.
Even more front-wheel-drive models could be on the way. Daimler CEO Dieter Zetsche says that Mercedes-Benz is "considering the final portfolio of the next generation of our compact cars." The trade journal suspects that Mercedes-Benz may add a 4 or 5 seat convertible, and a 2 seat roadster both with front-wheel-drive.
Are you happy with the introduction of front-wheel-drive Mercedes, or should Mercedes stick with building rear-wheel-drive vehicles?
