Was just perusing a European CLA forum and came across an interesting little tidbit. It seems many euro CLA owners are having problems with their parktronic sensors. Problems as in NOT WORKING.

Other minor issues include caliper paint washing away, chafing on some under hood wires and the occasional un-locateable clacking sound....

Interesting, Is this typical first year of a German car or an issue that comes from the high volume of manufacturing for the CLA that Mercedes is unaccustomed too?

It's typical first year problems of any brand new car. We've seen a lot of similar bugs when the Cadillac ATS first came out and now with the Infiniti Q50. No matter the manufacturer, the first production year of a brand new car will always be the roughest in terms of the frequency of issues.

really hard to believe. i would say the calipers are defective. the paint must have not bonded at all somehow.
