The MFA (Modular Front Architecture) platform currently is the base for the A-Class, B-Class, CLA and GLA vehicles. Renault-Nissan is looking to benefit more from its friendship with Daimler AG by using the platform on some non-premium vehicles of its own.
Carlos Ghosn says, "When we make a platform, we don't dedicate it to one brand. Platforms belong to companies, even it I tell you today we have no projects for one particular brand, within three months or sooner somebody can come with a project and I'll put it on the platform.
Could this mean the Nissan Almera is on its way back as a cheaper A-Class in a few years???????
