No, I don't fit: 6'3" and long torso mean that if I didn't have a head, it'd be fine. The space in the rear is atrocious and the high-backed seats and slit wide windows mean you should have confined spaces training if you are small enough to fit back there. The B 250 is on the same platform and it's like a bus inside. I test drove an E 250 CDI 4MATIC today and it was as good as the B Class in the back.

Well this should be further evidence that the CLA is a nice relatively inexpensive little 2+2 but the rear seats are not even good for kids in a kiddy seat due to tight legroom (if the driver is tall).

Then I guess the CLA isn't for you so this forum must be quite boring for you. Nobody claimed the CLA will be a good fit everyone. Fortunately the CLA is a great fit for us which is why I'm on this forum and share what I can with current and potential CLA owners.

At least with the vast majority of online and video reviews I've seen, the consensus opinion is that as a smallish sedan/coupe, the room in the back, while not cavernous and even a bit cramped, is not a deal breaker, either.

The CLA has 4 doors and can fit 5 adults in a pinch, but people aren't buying this car to haul around 4 or 5 adults. More like 1 to 2 adults, with a couple of kids safely stowed in car seats in the back.

I am 6'6" and can fit in the back behind the driver with the driver's seat setup for me to be comfy and I've had no issues with leg room nor head room.

I can put the driver's seat all the way back and not even be able to touch the firewall with my heal. That is not a comfortable position, so the seat needs to be moved up. Ditto on our 93 300E... almost the same identical interior dimensions and almost the same size on the outside, except the CLA maybe a tad shorter.

I've checked it out in both Euro and NA-US trim and the same applies to both types. We won't have people in the back seat much, except when we pick it up in Germany sometime in the next 18 mos.

Also, the front seats are very comfy with just the right amount of lateral bolstering on the back. I am pleased with most everything about the car save the shift paddles and electronic stalk on the steering column, but we will get used to it and likely rarely use the paddles. Every control is within easy reach and the car is easy to adjust and be comfy in.

YMMV.
