The CLA 45 AMG is the first AMG vehicle from Mercedes-Benz to run on an engine with less than five cylinders. The engine under the hood of the CLA 45 AMG is a M133, turbocharged, two-liter, four-cylinder engine that develops 360 HP and 450 Nm of torque.

The CLA 45 AMG is racing against a HSV GTS muscle sedan. It has 585 HP and 740 Nm of torque.

Its awesome that 4-cylinders can keep up with a V8 now. Shows how far technology has come. That also makes the CLA far more fuel efficient. Great that there doesn't have to be sacrifice for fuel efficiency.

Can ALMOST keep up. Not to take anything away from the fantastic turbo 4 in the AMG but it didn't quite keep up.... but close.

Someone reported turbo lag with the CLA, so maybe it had that at the time? If it did, i would like to see how it runs with little to no turbo lag.
