I plan to purchasing my CLA and put deposit last month. Then I found out a fleet program. Usually a dealer gives you 10% discount on at least 10 cars. Since this is new model, it is difficult to get discount. So I wonder why we get together to negotiate our purchase together. Please let me know how you think.

Yes. even less than 10 cars, we can let compete among dealers to get our group purchase. You can check your local dealer as well.

I am in oakland and I am in if the CLA45 AMG counts to the 10.

I am in San Jose. I am guessing that I can order exactly the options that I want, is that correct?

Where are you CLA lover? We need someone to manage this group buy.

$1000 refundable deposit is the way to go.

From my experience on forums, a good number of people will say "yes" to a group buy but only a small number of those people are actually serious.

I think there should be a totally new thread for the group buy once it gets the green light. It will make it easier, no need to go through all the fluff in this thread.

Regarding CLA45 guys we may add to CLA250 list first to negotiate with dealer and see. It won't hurt you till you find out. What do you think??

I have spoken to the Fletcher Jones dealer. They can offer 3-5% off since dealer's profit is about 6%. I will be checking other bar area dealers.

The Walnut Creek dealer is $500 off. We are waiting other dealers response. So please be patient. Dealers haven't got their invoice so can work on only typical 6% margin. If we wait for second shipment around the end year, we may work on better deal... Their idea is that they can sell their first shipment to who pay full price anyway. But they want our business volume wise and rather selling to other dealers .

I have contacted all dealers in the bay area. All they said they can't guarantee any number due to their lack of invoice price. Some of the dealers finish ordering 1st shipment of CLA but I like to wait to negotiate till their got their numbers. We are aiming to the 2nd shipment around the end of year.

I would like to get on board with the the group but I'm looking to buy a CLA 45 AMG E1. I'm in LA so it's nothing to run up there and pick it up.

Some dealers said it is no problem to mix with CLA 45. I can't guarantee because of depends on which dealer we will deal with. But it shouldn't hurt you till we find out our deal for you to join us. If that's okay, please copy the list and add your name at its bottom.
