Hi all!

Placed my order for the 2014 MB CLA250 about 1.5 months ago. Anxiously awaiting that call from the 'Autohaus on Edens' dealership telling me my car is in. They estimated Sept. 24ish so its almost here!

This will be my first MB. I come from a blue collar 'only buy American vehicles' family, so not sure how this will be received, however the CLA250 looks so darned sleek and sporty that I'm willing to risk the ridicule.

What made you decide to go with the CLA over another American vehicle?, there are actually a good number of compact luxury american sedan's out.

Although I've owned all American vehicles in the past, it doesn't mean I've been happy with them or the service I received. Over the years, I've made lots of trips to the dealership to get repairs (fortunately before the warranty expiration). I have a few friends that have Mercedes that are extremely happy with them (one will not buy any car but a Mercedes), so I started doing a bit of research. I didn't want anything as big as the E class and was actually looking into the C class when this model started being advertised. I put a deposit down and am anxiously awaiting it to come in next week. My thoughts were that if I didn't like the look (in person) or how it drives, I'd also look into the C class.

Chevy Lumina - Computer. I had to have it replaced twice on the same car before 36k miles!!!

Ford Escape - Transmission went out at approx. 15k miles.

Maybe I'm a jinx and I just attract lemon cars lol

Just bad choice in car makers, American cars have always known to be crap, although there are some that run flawlessly, I just hear too many bad things about them, enough that i stick to my German and Japanese cars.

Yup and overtime for diys if you're mechanically incline you can save some money to do little things yourself.

Awesome, make sure to look over your CLA thoroughly for any damage or anything from being transported. Also make sure nothing is missing, I know some tech's tend to mess up on the pre-delivery inspection (PDI)

Damn those domestics, they dont last long and yes and so it seems liek the car is programmed to have issues as soon as the warranty is up.

well you can now getthe CLA and never have any more issues...

Picked up my CLA250 on Tuesday and have spent the last couple days 'getting to know it'. All I can say is that I LOVE MY NEW CAR!!!! I have always wanted a red car, so call this my midlife crisis...I got Jupiter red. The upgrades I got included the 18" wheels, panorama sunroof, rear deck spoiler, the premium package and the multimedia package. The interior is all black. This car is small but not too small. The only negative is that the back seat will be tight on headroom for my tall friends. Other than that, I have nothing but love for this car. I am amazed that this is only a 4 cylinder as it would easily blow my old 6 cylinder car away in a heartbeat. It is FAST and extremely maneuverable. I can turn on a dime and get in and out of tight places with absolutely no problem. I attached a picture (hopefully it uploaded correctly) of me and my baby.

See, when I hit my midlife crisis I went for a cruiser. I think you've made a better choice with a CLA. At least you have four walls of metal around you, and lots of cool toys.

Have you done a few race starts from lights against seemingly faster looking cars, you passing everyone?
