Hood rod?

What is the deal with this hood rod that came with the car? :mad: I was hoping for gas shock but mercedes with hood rod?, c'mon...My 2003 mustang has the same hood rod and I installed the gas shock later on. Well, I guess that would be my second mod then.

Ehh its a cost saving measure. It does kind of seem cheap. But if its a big deal you can install your own for pretty cheap.

its a convenience mod. its just more convenient to have the gas shocks. especially if you work under the hood yourself.
