I was hoping for gas shock but mercedes with hood rod?, c'mon...My 2003 mustang has the same hood rod and I installed the gas shock later on. Well, I guess that would be my second mod then.
Be sure to add a detailed description of your install of the hood shocks so it can be a sticky for others (me).
By the way, the hood is awfully light. Wouldn't take much to hold it open.
