There's a button on the lip of the trunk handle to open the trunk (if the car is unlocked). There is a key slot on the driver's door handle to unlock it with a mechanical key but only as a pack up in case the battery in the remote dies. No buttons on the door.

That's dissapointing..once you get used to keyless entry and keyless start, it's hard to go back. Not a total deal breaker but they really should have included that in the premium pkg.

I don't recall any Mercedes models with keyless start.

I've had it on 4 of my Mercedes. Inevitably I end up leaving the key in a jacket or pant and forget where I put it. Ha ha. It's a blessing and a curse!

Yea, maybe they left it out for strategic reasons to create differentiation between the more upmarket, new C-class. I cant imagine it costs much being that it's available on $15K subcompact cars as well as Jetta's, etc..

It seems like MBNA decided Keyless Go on the CLA was an area to skip to save on cost. Also note, that in some markets CLAs have an extra light for tight turns built into the in board side of the headlamp unit. In the U.S. there is merely a matte black triangular shaped cover where the light should be.
