Mercedes-Benz will be opening a museum in Beijing

The capital of China, Beijing, will see a Mercedes-Benz Cultural Center built in the near future. Models from the brand's earliest days will be on display in the museum. This is particularly special for China as most foreign automakers were not able to sell cars in China until the 1980s. That means that many Chinese people have never seen vintage Mercedes-Benz before.

The decision to build this museum is not just for fun. The museum will bring a better brand awareness to the Chinese market which is seeing unprecedented growth. Benz is trailing its rivals Audi and BMW right now in CHina, so something had to be done!

The museum should be constructed in the next 2-3 years.
