The CLA 180 Blue Efficiency produces less emissions. The car should be the same apart from maybe the Blue badging and MAYBE some interior cues to the eco friendliness of the model.

Am I the only one who is surprised at how much torque they got out of a 2.0L 4 Cylinder turbo considering it only has 200hp?

I'd imagine without the turbo the 2.0l would be only making 150hp.

And am I the only one thinking that a boost controller and tune would likely bring the CLA250 close to 300hp and likely close to 300lbs of torque?

It's likely a small turbocharger. Reason why it spools up so fast and will good response and torque. It's only 200hp so that is a sign that the turbocharger isn't that big.

Keep in mind the US and Canadian models will get different engine options. These are ALL of the CLA engines but we might only get one option for the CLA250.

Do you or anyone in here know what engines both Canada and USA are getting aside from the CLA250 and CLA45 AMG engine?

CLA180 would be great for both nations just to fill in that fuel efficient luxury compact sedan niche, great gas mileage is something a lot of people look for in a car these days.

The CLA 180 will not be coming here. For the greenies, an all electric B Class will be sold in the USA. Canada will get the CLA 250, the B 250 and the B Electric.

A CLA 180 likely wont sell too well here due to the competition.

The pricing is another factor.. If the CLA250 starts just under 30k the CLA 180 would have to be around 27k.

Mercedes doesn't need to meddle with cars in that class. No point. Plus the CLA 180 is just too underpowered.
