Mercedes CLA Headlights

What does everyone think of the CLA headlights? I like the little swoosh over the 3/4 box on the usual C class.

Front view

The projectors seem a little bit smaller which is interesting.

The chrome shroud also seems to be different. It's rather large.

It'll be interesting to see which projectors these are from the Mercedes parts bin.

I wonder how the signaling works. Will it be that swoop under the headlight that will signal amber or is it the large diffuser on top?

I'm not sure what the exact features are but they have an "Intelligent Adaptive Lighting System" package

From what I can see physically, there seems to be a red ring around the projectors and an extra reflector beside the projector for what seems to be a high beam or DRL

What is the function of the red rings around the projectors besides cosmetic values?

I'm not entirely sure.. I think it looks nice with the red ring but I don't think it serves any purpose. But I would love to be corrected.
