I'm sure it'll be very similar in this aspect to the A class Mercedes as well.

On the Mercedes website they are claiming that the CLA 250 does 0-60 in 9.3 seconds and has a top speed of 210kmh (electronically limited)

There might be slight differences in the CLA performance figures but since finding out that the A250 is similar to the CLA250 here are some specs and videos of the A250 AMG. They have VERY similar if not exact motors. The kerb weight is likely similar and the transmission SHOULD both be the 7 speed auto.

0-100kmh or 0-60mph

0-244km/h or 151mph

Guess the 210kmh electronic limiter didn't work for the guy in the second video! 244kmh was his max speed.

BTW there is no way that the 0-60 on the CLA250 is 9.3 seconds..

The manufactured claim on the A250 0-60 is 6.2 seconds.

I think the 4Matic CLA250 will be even quicker.

I was just about to say, 9.3 would be pathetic. The mercedes CLA would feel like a toyota prius!

9.3? No way! That is too slow. If this is true, it will kill this car. I would spend 5k more for the C-Class.

I drove a B 250 up here in Canada and it does 0-62.1 MPH in 6.8 seconds. It feels like it too. Same drivetrain, less aerodynamic body... The CLA is supposed to be 6.7 to the same speed.

So according to the German website the CLA 180 will do 0-60 in 9.3 seconds. I guess its comparable to other cars that are 122ps and weigh as much as the CLR.

The CLA 220 CDI Diesel does 0-60 in 8.2 seconds

The CLA 250 FWD does 0-60 in 6.7 seconds.

I think the CLA 250 is the option that seems suitable to me. 9 seconds is just too slow.

If you look at the Mercedes A180, it does 0-60 in over 10 seconds. The A180 is a 1.6l 4 cylinder turbocharged engine that makes 120hp similar to the CLA180. The A200 is a higher specd version of the A180 and that does 0-60 in around mid 8 seconds. That is comparable to the CLA200.

The CLA250 should be high 6 seconds though.

Speed limiters lower than 250 km/h are only put on North American Mercedes, because US buyers want "all season" tires that will last 60,000 miles and are not rated to more than 210 km/h.

....Or maybe it's because North American drivers can't legally drive faster than 130 km/h....or perhaps because North American drivers are not competent enough ;)

North American drivers are NOT competent enough, don't know where some people get their license from. Some of these drivers are Mercedes Benz drivers too, which makes me wonder lol.

I guess its safe to say that North american drivers shouldnt be allowed to drive fast than 75 miles per hours. So are the speed limiters only equipped on U.S. CLAs?
