If you thought the Mercedes-Benz CLA-Class wouldn’t be a success, think again.

The German automaker has released a short statement announcing that production on the CLA-Class would be getting a boost in order to meet worldwide demand. According to Daimler CEO Dieter Zetsche, production of the CLA “has hardly kept up with the dynamic sales development of our compacts.” Production will be boosted at the automaker’s plant in Hungary with the Mercedes-Benz Kecskemet plant adding a third shift starting in May.

Mercedes has seen 4,404 units of its CLA-Class move in the U.S. through February and reiterated that its compact car plants are ready to “operate at full steam.” The CLA is available in two models: CLA 250 and CLA 45 AMG. The compact sedan starts from $30,825 while the CLA 45 AMG with the world’s most powerful four-cylinder engine (355 hp, 332 lb-ft of torque) has a starting price tag of $48,375.
