I can understand why Mercedes gets involved with games, its simply free marketing when you think about it and its the same for the game developers as well. It draws attention from everybody. And this is a good way to stir up some controversy as well.
Mercedes CLA45 AMG Revealed in PS4 Game Promo
A new racing game for the Sony PlayStation Four was announced yesterday, called Driveclub, and along with the new game comes the first (digital) image of the upcoming Mercedes CLA45 AMG.
The CLA45 will share most of its DNA with the recently announced A45 AMG, using a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine to put out 360 hp and 332 lb-ft of torque between 2250 and 5000 rpm. The small car will also use 4Matic all-wheel drive and a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission, the same as in the small A45.
Though the photo only shows the back end, the CLA45 looks typically AMG with dual-exhaust and a tweaked rear bumper.
Both the CLA45 AMG and A45 AMG will be featured in Driveclub, a new racing game which offers a “highly socially connected racing experience.”
The CLA45 will make its world debut at the 2013 New York Auto Show.
