Mercedes CLA45 AMG to Debut at New York Motor Show
For those that took a shine to the 2013 Mercedes CLA that made its grand debut at this year’s Detroit Motor Show, you’re in for a huge treat when Mercedes once again ups the ante in New York in March.

According to industry chatter, the Mercedes CLA45 AMG will arrive with a four-cylinder 2.2-liter turbocharged petrol engine, serving up 350 brake horsepower and an impressive 450NM torque. Fast gear changes come courtesy of a dual-clutch seven-speed manual gearbox, while Mercedes 4Matic AWD will power all four wheels. Zero to 60mph times are expected to come in below the five-second mark and top speeds will no doubt be limited to 250KMH.

The fingerprints of AMG will of course be all over the place, in the form of a sports exhaust, more powerful brakes, harder suspension, sporty interior and an aerodynamic body kit. The Mercedes CLA45 AMG will however also come with a few eco-friendly refinements, including automatic start/stop and brake energy harnessing.
A range of driver and safety aids will be delivered as standard including Attention Assist and Collision Prevention Assist.
While official prices have yet to be confirmed, the Mercedes CLA45 AMG is expected to launch for $35,000 to $40,000 depending on options.
