Hi,

I just have a question, is it possible to add park assist in the CLA. The reason i am asking is because i originally lease the vehicle and was just going to keep it for 2 and a half year and bring it back in for another car but now the car has grown on me and i am going to keep the car. I have called the dealer and they said no they can add it in but i thought the vehicle would be per-wire for it no? any input would help, thanks in advance.

Hello,

I have park assist and I do not find it all that useable. It is a cool gimmick, but gets old pretty quick.
It does not always detect a suitable parking space.
It is kind ridiculous to have to back up and re-approach a spot because the sensors did not
notice the place the first (couple of) time(s).
It detects the cars around the space via ultrasound sensors, and that is a bit of a hit or miss.
If there happens to be 2 or more spots next to each other, the car may decide to park itself sideways
(as in next to a curb). So most of the time I just do not bother.
