Does anyone know if the two Parktronic-like sensors in the front center grille of Sport models serve any function? They make sense if you have Parktronic or Driver Assistance but not sure if they serve a true function without either or both of the aforementioned optional packages. Are they for Collision Prevention Assist?

They are indeed for the Collision Prevention Assist feature which is standard on all CLAs.

you will just see a painted round circle on the front bumper that looks like it can be removed.

I'm guessing like this?

On the CLA they are two little round black circles on the lower part of the grill.

Not at all. Just thinking that I can use them for aftermarket parking sensors placement in case they are dummy placements.
