Ok, so I live in the SF bay area - Pleasanton and every morning the car in 40 degree weather rattles like a diesel. I had a c230 kompressor before and I did not get the rattles as in the CLA. I am alone in this?.

I am setting up a service meeting for next week.

Any other issues you guys have noticed? BTW - this is my second week with the CLA, I love the car and was waiting for it a couple of months.

Even the magazines said it makes foul engine noises from outside the car. One of them was blaming it on the direct injection. idk. Definitely doesn't have the purr of a bigger motor.. but it's a trade-off.

My dealer told me the same that it is from the high pressure direct injection.

It does not really bother me other than my neighbor telling me "you have a nice little diesel", lol.

your rattle is the injectors, you have to live with the noise.
