So.... I picked up my car today. After showing the tech my photo of the error message and explained to him my story, they said they would run a mercedes benz diagnostic tool test with the software. While doing that they said they did find something in the "stored memory." Which they cleared. I forget what the message said but the tech. did say it could be related to my problem and "might" have triggered the notice. Why it was stuck in "stored memory" your guess is as good as mine. They also drove my car for 5 miles and seemed to be ok.
