I've had that question for a while. Since the CLA is absolutely new and the purpose of the 750 units of the E1 in the USA is to commemorate this and the equipment it has is hard to reproduce, I would like to think so. If course, you can purchase a CLA at any time now but never again an Edition 1. What do you guys think?

Well, how many Edition 1's of other models have become classics? Not discounting the Edition 1 by any means. I wanted one but dragged my feet and lost out.

I kind of doubt it. Even if it is an Edition 1, the CLA isn't on par with, say, a 275GTO or a Shelby Mustang. Heck, it's not even like the "Hammer" from the old AMG catalog. I'm sure you may be able to find someone who is willing to pay almost MSRP for a slightly used 2-3 year old model like you can find for the Evo or STI, but it'll be hard to find that person.

I'm also only referring to the AMG. I can't imagine the regular CLA Edition 1 being a "classic."

I will burn in hell for this, but I think the edition 1 is not that great looking, the yellow stitching is an acquired taste in ("IMO").
I think it's okay, but I would not choose it as an option, even if it was free. I prefer the red stitching over the yellow. Yellow's more of a boy-racer color. Maybe that's why they chose it, to appeal to that demographic. They should have offered a yellow paint scheme then too.

I just ask this because is not every day that MB launches a new model, worth having a limited edition. Whether people like the yellow stitching or not, those are details you won't get as optional equipment.

I don't think is like the "special edition" u see in every other ford truck
